Imming works with a four-pitch mix — a low-90s fastball, a low-80s cutter, a mid-70s slider, and a low-80s changeup — and the separation between them is only part of the story. The real weapon is his plan of attack. He attacks left-handed hitters with his fastball, cutter, and changeup, and goes after right-handed hitters with his fastball, cutter and slider. The sequencing is deliberate, repeatable, and mature for a pitcher at any level, let alone a first-year arm adjusting to US competition.

The result is a pitcher who consistently gets hitters to produce weak contact. He does not need to blow anyone away — he beats them with angles, tunnels, and pitch selection. His 27/7 K/BB ratio reflects a strike-thrower with a genuine feel for the craft.

The walk rate deserves its own mention. Imming’s 1.72 BB/9 ranks 5th out of 106 JUCO pitchers who transferred to DI Power Four programs since 2024 — as a freshman. That is not a formatting note on a stat line. That is a legitimate differentiator, and it puts him in rare company among players at his stage of development.

There are throwers and there are pitchers. Imming is unambiguously the latter. His delivery is clean and repeatable, which is what allows his plan of attack to execute pitch after pitch. The strike-throwing ability is not incidental — it is the foundation everything else is built on. Combined with his work with Tread as he continues to refine his arsenal, the mechanical baseline is strong and trending in the right direction.

Imming projects as a reliable weekend starter at the DI level — the kind of arm that eats innings, limits walks, and keeps a program in games. His carrying tools are strike-throwing and weak contact induction, and both are already present and functional at the JUCO level. The development variable is the strikeout rate. If he can elevate his swing-and-miss numbers to match the rest of his profile, the ceiling rises considerably.

His final line of 5–1, 3.19 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, and a 27/7 K/BB ratio across 36.2 innings tells a strong story on its own. But one outing against Midland — 3.2 innings, 7 earned runs, 4 home runs — accounts for more than half his earned runs on the season. Strip that outlier out and Imming’s numbers read 33.0 IP, 1.64 ERA, 1.21 WHIP. That is the pitcher he was for the vast majority of 2025.

Imming came over from the Netherlands — a country with a legitimate baseball tradition but a fundamentally different development environment — and competed at a high level in the United States in his very first year of American ball. That adjustment is not easy, and he made it look seamless. Programs that get in early on Imming are getting ahead of a pitcher who has already proven he belongs — and is only getting started.
