Power. Discipline. Projection.

The left-handed Iolani product possesses a noticeable athletic build with power-hitting potential at the D1 level. At 6'1" and 200 lbs., Thompson's frame could easily hold another 15 lbs. in college — and the results already match: 102 MPH max exit velocity and 95 MPH average at the PBR Futures Showcase.

Thompson uses a wide base, a simple drift-back load, and follows through with violent hand speed through the zone. Against the Japanese national team he went 3-for-3 with a gap double, a 370-foot homer to left, and a homer to straight-away center — three different pitch locations, same elite result.

Impact Defender at First Base

Thompson shines at first base, where his tremendous flexibility allows him to make plays from all sides of the bag. His 89 MPH arm from RF is above average, and his baseball instincts allow him to cover more ground than his speed suggests.

Thompson Doesn't Play Baseball — He Is a Baseball Player.

A quiet leader with elite tools and a USC commitment. He brings work ethic, consistent effort, and talent to any program he joins.
