Elite Contact. Elite Patience. Elite Power.

Across two seasons at Amarillo College, Brooks Carter has slashed .423/.552/.678 with 19 home runs and 113 RBIs over 108 games. His sophomore OBP climbed from .525 to .580 — driven by a jump from 35 to 51 walks in four fewer games. That is not a hot streak. That is a hitter who studied what pitchers did to him, refused to let them do it again, and forced them into the zone.

Carter sets up with an open stance, initiates his load with a small controlled leg kick, and fires through contact with violent hip rotation. His career BB/K ratio of 82/59 reflects a hitter elite pitching cannot beat without help. Maintaining the same average while improving in OBP and SLG shows a hitter who is continuing to get better each season.

"He was one of the best hitters in not only our conference, but in the entire country. He's an elite-level hitter from the left side."

— Brandon Rains, Head Coach, Amarillo College
Two Positions. Elite at Both.

Carter has split time between catcher and first base across both seasons. Behind the plate he is a strong, physical receiver with an above-average arm. At first base, his lateral range and soft hands belie his 205-pound frame — he turns would-be errors into outs and makes the infield better simply by being there.

The Name at the Top of the List
